Government subsidy for hearing aids

If your hearing loss reaches the level required for hearing-disability registration, Korea's National Health Insurance recognizes hearing aids as covered assistive devices — you can purchase one with a subsidy of up to ₩1,310,000 per device, once every 5 years.

Guiin Hearing works with partner ENT clinics that can provide the official hearing-disability diagnosis, and guides you through the entire application process, systematically, from start to finish.

Hearing-disability registration process

  1. Visit an ENT clinic for examination
  2. Pure-tone audiometry ×3 + ABR (auditory brainstem response) test ×1
  3. Test results & disability diagnosis certificate issued
  4. Apply for disability registration at your local community center
  5. Review and grading by the National Pension Service
  6. Welfare card issued
  7. Hearing-aid prescription & assistive-device subsidy application

Weekdays 08:30–18:30, Saturdays 08:30–13:00; closed on Sundays. (Both centers)

Is parking available?
Yes — both centers support parking: the Hi-Zone building's basement parking at the Jinhae Center, and the Daebang DM City retail parking lot at the Myeongji Service Center.
